Students are to read and present debates about economic inequalities in the Global perspective.
They are expected to learn about wealth and income inequalities as well as main measurements such as Lorenz curve and Gini coefficient. The role of national statistics and surveys, cross-national comparisons, and historical perspective will be discussed in a class. A special attention is payed to Globalisation and its impact on inequalities within and between countries.
