In this class students discuss what they have learnt from the lecture: deman-side and supply-side theories of gender differences in labor-market behaviour. 

 

They are also expected to participate in a discussion of the video "Television’s Impact on the Status of Women in India" that features a short lecture by Emily Oster (assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Chicago Department of Economics), 

 

Finally, a guided tour around inequality databases will be conducted by the tutor: OECD, LIS, Eurostat, the World Bank and The Gap Minder
